Back in February a report came down that said WWE superstar Sasha Banks would be joining the cast of Season 2 of The Mandalorian Disney+ series. It was unknown at the time which character she would be playing or how involved she would be in the live-action series going forward. Subsequent rumors/reports pegged Banks (her real name is Mercedes Varnado) as playing the live-action version of graffiti artist Sabine Wren who was first introduced to viewers in the Star Wars Rebels animated series.
We now know that is not the case as Banks made her on-screen debut in Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian on Friday in “The Heiress” playing a highly skilled Mandalorian warrior named Koska Reeves (click the image below for a closer look). It will be interesting to see how much development her character receives throughout the remaining episodes of Season 2.
