Daisy Ridley Discusses “Overwhelming” Star Wars Experience

Daisy Ridley has looked back on her initial Star Wars experience in The Force Awakens with Clique, as she promoted her upcoming feature Sometimes I Think About Dying, saying she felt overwhelmed at seeing herself in a leading role.

“After the screening of the first film, I told myself that I was sh*t and that I was really worthless. I cried my eyes out thinking I was the worst thing that ever happened to Star Wars. I had never seen myself in a leading role, so for me it was something unexpected and very surprising, it overwhelmed me.”

Ridley is about to return to the role of Rey in the upcoming New Jedi Order film, set 15 years after the events of The Rise of Skywalker, and directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.
