Disney+ Surpasses 60 Million Subscribers, The Mandalorian Season 2 Still Coming in October

A short time ago Disney held their Q3 FY20 Earnings Results webcast during which CEO Bob Chapek announced that there are currently over 60 million Disney+ subscribers (the press release mentioned just over 57 million paid subscribers). He congratulated The Mandalorian live-action series on its 15 Emmy nominations and reiterated once again the scheduled October release time frame for the premiere of Season 2.

However, Chapek did not provide a specific release date for the second season’s debut.

Chapek concluded his segment by saying there will be another Disney Investor conference call coming in the next several months to focus on new Disney+ and direct-to-consumer content announcements, so that could be when we see new Star Wars content for the streaming service officially revealed.
