Filming On Han Solo Wraps, Official Title Is ‘Solo: A Star Wars Story’

Han’s beginnings has a name! The official title of 2018’s young Han Solo standalone film directed by Ron Howard has been revealed today:

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Originally the film began production under the working title “Red Cup” as revealed back in December. About a month later, Chris Miller, who was initially selected by Lucasfilm as the film’s co-director along with Phil Lord, tweeted a photo of the clapperboard with “Red Cup” written along the bottom to kick off the start of filming. The working title then changed over to “Solo” with a logo featured on the t-shirts worn by the crew.

Who knew those production crew t-shirts would ultimately contain the basic title of the film in the end? But that’s all in the past now with our official title finally revealed!

Solo: A Star Wars Story arrives in theaters May 25, 2018.
