Star Wars alumni Gwendoline Christie has been cast as Lucifer in the upcoming live-action adaption of The Sandman for Netflix.
Gwendoline Christie hasn’t been seen on screen for a little while but now she’s making a comeback in Netflix’s big adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s classic The Sandman, playing none other than the ruler of Hell, Lucifer (not that one).
A poster for the series that debuted at DC’s FanDome event over the weekend – Warner Bros is producing the show for Netflix – showed us what the actress is going to look like in the role, and we’re a little unnerved by her ice-cold stare.
Christie looks almost cherubic with her curly hair and pale face, with the shadow of her wings framing her face so that you can’t help but look at those piercing eyes.
The Sandman is expected to debut on Netflix in 2022.
