First Look at The Last of Us Season 2 with Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey

The second season of The Last Of Us won’t arrive until 2025, but HBO has shared a couple of photos from the show, released during Warner Bros. Discovery’s Upfront presentation, featuring Pedro Pascal as Joel and Bella Ramsey as Ellie.

The photo of Pascal features Joel standing outside at night, speaking with someone whose back is to the camera.

In the next photo, it appears to be daytime, though Ellie is creeping inside of a building with her weapon at the ready in case anything goes wrong.

Based on Naughty Dog’s video game, The Last of Us takes place 20 years after modern civilization has been destroyed. Joel, played by Pedro Pascal, a hardened survivor, is hired to smuggle Ellie (Bella Ramsey), a 14-year-old girl, out of an oppressive quarantine zone. What starts as a small job soon becomes a brutal and heartbreaking journey as they both must traverse the U.S. and depend on each other for survival.

The Last of Us is written and executive produced by Craig Mazin and Naughty Dog’s Neil Druckmann.

The series is a co-production with Sony Pictures Television and is also executive produced by Carolyn Strauss, Jacqueline Lesko, Cecil O’Connor, Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan, and Evan Wells. Production companies: PlayStation Productions, Word Games, The Mighty Mint, and Naughty Dog.

See Pascal as The Mandalorian on Disney+ now.
