Having helped to launch Gareth Edwards’ cinematic career and spawned one sequel, sci-fi horror Monsters is taking the next step with its giant beasts: into the realm of television.
Vertigo Films (which released the original film in some countries) is working with Channel 4 on the series, which has yet to announce any plot details, but is likely to focus once more on humanity’s dealings with alien creatures living in “infected zones” across the US and elsewhere.
Edwards is also likely to be involved in some capacity, even if it’s only offering guidance.
