Can it really be 15 years since The Phantom Menace arrived in our galaxy, marking the start of the Prequel era, a 15 year long journey which only ended this year with the final episodes of Star Wars: The Clone Wars?
It sure is, and the world of Star Wars is a markedly different place now to what it was then. No more 56k dial up, no waiting hours on end for a tiny stamp-sized trailer to load but a megaton of expectation. Halcyon days, so hats off to the film that brought back Star Wars and – as yet – the only film to pass the billion dollar barrier at the worldwide box office.
