Harrison Ford Leaves Tyneside for Next Stage of Filming at Pinewood Studios

Earlier today, Harrison Ford left Tyneside by Helicopter for Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire, where it is understood the next stage of principal photography for the fifth Indiana Jones film will continue.

He’s been seen settling into UK life since arriving to film Indiana Jones 5, having been spotted filming in various locations.

And Harrison Ford was on the move again on Saturday as he was seen leaving the Malmaison hotel in Newcastle before heading off to a waiting helicopter.

The Hollywood star, 78, kept things casual in a beige jumper as he’s said to have jetted off to Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire as filming continued for the next instalment of the franchise.

Harrison appeared in good spirits as he left his accommodation wearing a black face, while he prepared for the sun with sunglasses hung around his neck.

The actor then made his way into a waiting car, where he is said to have been driven to the Sikorsky S-76C 2 helicopter, which can cost up to £15 million when new, with his bags being loaded onto the chopper beforehand.

He was said to have been taken to Pinewood Studios as preparations for the action film carried on.

It’s been a busy period for the thespian as in recent days he’s been spotted in the Scottish Borders and North Yorkshire while shooting scenes as the famous archaeologist.

It is not yet known if Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy and her husband Frank Marshall will follow Ford to Pinewood Studios. The couple were also staying at the Malmaison hotel in Newcastle, and have been spotted numerous times with Ford over the last few days. Kennedy is Executive Producer on the new film, slated to be the last starring Ford in the titular role.

The currently-untitled Indy 5 is directed by James Mangold and lands in theaters next year on July 29th, 2022.
