Sunday 2nd August saw the transformation of a local village hall located in Fordingbridge into what is known as Farthest From; the greatest Star Wars Vintage show held within the UK. Literally crammed with old Skool Star Wars merchandise this hidden gem of a show is heavenly for any vintage fan looking for a rare find or that piece that will complete the collection.
This show seems to get better every time with more goodies, special guests and presentations making an appearance. Shane Turgeon flew down all the way from Canada to sign his new hit ink book ‘Force in the Flesh Volume 2’ which displays a collaboration of Star Wars Tattoos and artists. Team Jedi News also managed to grab a quick interview with the author to discuss his fandom of Star Wars, which can be heard in episode 31 of RADIO 1138 later in August.
Mattias Rendahl flew over from Sweden to also sign his new book called ‘A New Proof’ that discovers the story behind Kenner’s’ revolutionary Star Wars action figures. He also held a presentation to accompany his book going into depth about the designing process. Dave Tree displayed his rather impressive collection of the Star Wars Bend’ems range and presented a slideshow journey of this rather peculiar merchandise.
