After saying he had moved on from Star Wars, John Boyega has now said he would be interested in seeing Finn’s story told, and since he is enjoying The Mandalorian on Disney+, he thinks a TV series would be the way to go and perhaps even an animated series.
In an interview with yahoo! Entertainment the actor spoke about Colin Trevorrow’s episode IX story, entitled Star Wars: Duel of the Fates, which saw Finn and Rose lead a class uprising on the galactic capital planet, Coruscant.
If Disney ever decides to tell the story that Trevorrow sketched out for Finn — perhaps as an animated Disney+ series — he’d consider booking a trip back to the far, far away galaxy. “I’m a Mandalorian fan, so Lucasfilm is doing very well with the TV shows,” he says, laughing. “An animated show would be dope! We could do it from home.”
Always in motion the future is. Steve McQueen’s Small Axe collection of short films will air on BBC One and iPlayer on November 15th. Red, White and Blue starring John Boyega will air on December 13th, and you can watch the trailer now.
