The first reviews are in for John Boyega’s new Netflix film They Cloned Tyrone, and the consensus so far is overwhelmingly positive.
The sci-fi comedy, which marks Creed II writer Juel Taylor’s directorial debut, sees an unlikely trio (played by Boyega, Teyonah Parris and Jamie Foxx) take on a government conspiracy when a series of eerie events force them together.
24‘s Kiefer Sutherland, The Walking Dead‘s Joshua Mikel and P-Valley‘s J Alphonse Nicholson also star.
Movie critics had their chance to review the film before it arrives on Netflix next Friday (July 21), and it debuted with an an impressiveRotten Tomatoes score of 100%, but has since dropped from its perfect rating to 96%.
Should this high praise continue as more reviews roll in, the new film could well be on its way to receiving a coveted ‘Certified Fresh’ rating.
We look forward to watching it next week.
