With filming for Season 2 currently underway, series creator/writer Jon Favreau has posted the photo seen below of a Mando helmet from the set of the second season of The Mandalorian to his Instagram account. We learned during last month’s press junket that Favreau himself will be directing an episode from Season 2. Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Carga in the live-action series, will also be stepping behind the camera to helm an episode from the second season.
The Mandalorian debuted yesterday with the launch of the new Disney+ streaming service in the United States, Canada and the Netherlands. The streaming release dates for all eight episodes that make up Season 1 can be found here.
