
From D23, two new shows from Jon Favreau got release dates; the three-part Oswald the Lucky Rabbit miniseries is coming to Disney+ in February 2027, whilst the four-part documentary series LION comes to the platform this week (August 19th).
Those attending D23 got a first look at Oswald the Lucky Rabbit which features live action combined with hand-drawn 2D animation, and it is being written, directed and executive produced by The Mandalorian’s Jon Favreau.
LION will be available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu starting August 19th, 2026, and you can watch a trailer below: –
