Joseph Shirley Reportedly Scoring Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 3

It is being reported that Joseph Shirley is scoring the third season of The Mandalorian, landing on Disney+ on March 1st, 2023, with Ludwig Göransson providing the themes in the same way they both worked on The Book of Boba Fett.

The composer has previously provided additional music to the first two seasons of the show as part of Ludwig Göransson’s team. While the full Season 3 music credits have not been confirmed yet, our understanding is that it will be similar to last year’s The Book of Boba Fett with Shirley being credited as the score composer and Göransson for providing the themes. The new season of the show created by Jon Favreau and starring Pedro Pascal, Katee Sackhoff, Carl Weathers, Amy Sedaris, Emily Swallow and Giancarlo Esposito follows the title character as he crosses paths with old allies and make new enemies as he and Grogu continue their journey together.
