Kevin Feige has said there is no reason for a Marvel Cinematic Universe/Star Wars crossover, apart from references like the LEGO Star Wars Death Star in the MCU Spiderman films and The Empire Strikes Back comparison in Captain America: Civil War. Here is what Feige said in conversation with Yahoo when asked about a potential crossover….
“If you’d ask me if anything we’re talking about right now was in the realm of possibility 20 years ago, I would’ve said, ‘I don’t think so,’” Feige tells us during a recent interview promoting yet another one of his MCU coups, the Disney+ TV spinoff WandaVision.
But wait for the BUT.
“But I really don’t think so,” he quickly adds. “I don’t think there’s any reason for it.”
Beyond Feige, we are already seeing some crossover behind the scenes. The super producer hired Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and Loki writer Michael Waldron to pen the mysterious Star Wars film he’s currently developing (and will say absolutely nothing about).
It seems we will never get to see a Nick Fury/Mace Windu crossover — I am so dissapointed! Watch the interview at the link below.
