During the after show for Watch What Happens: Live with Andy Cohen, Liam Neeson has said no to returning as Qui-Gon Jinn stating “There’s so many spinoffs of Star Wars. It’s diluting it to me, and it’s taken away the mystery and the magic in a weird way.”
During the After Show, Liam Neeson says he wouldn’t be interested in doing a Qui-Gon Jinn Star Wars spin-off, saying the franchise is being diluted. However, he adds that it was nice to reprise his role with Ewan McGregor for a cameo appearance in Obi-Wan Kenobi.
