Looks Like Camera-Less Phones Only On Episode IX Set To Avoid Leaks

It appears that Lucasfilm is upping the security game to another level on the set of next year’s Episode IX based on this tweet sent out by Victoria Mahoney earlier today. Mahoney, who we learned back in April had been hired as second unit director for the J.J. Abrams helmed film, tweeted the photo seen below of an older cellphone that does not have a camera (remember those?) with the hashtags #Crew and #IX along with it. One can assume this is an indication that heightened security measures have been instituted for the filming of Episode IX by not allowing phones with cameras to be on the set as Lucasfilm aims to crack down on leaked set photos.

We knew filming for the currently untitled Episode IX was scheduled to begin at the end of this month. Does this tweet from Mahoney mean cameras have started to roll?
