Mark Hamill took on a dare on Sunday to see if he could get the social media’s universal sign of approval by just Tweeting his name.
“You could just tweet ‘Mark Hamill’ and you’d get thousands of likes,” wrote one Twitter user. Hamill retweeted the challenge missive, adding only his name as directed.

Within two minutes there were 2.1K likes and “Mark Hamill” shot to a trending Twitter topic. In two hours, the tweet had 7,016 retweets and 148.3K likes (and counting).
It was an impressive show of Internet power by the actor who portrays legendary Jedi master Luke Skywalker. “The Force is with him,” wrote one Twitter commentator.
