Mark Hamill in ‘The Fall of the House of Usher’ Netflix Series Gets Release Date

The eight episode Netflix horror series The Fall of the House of Usher featuring Mark Hamill will drop on October 12th, just in time for the Halloween season.

The horror show, which stars Star Wars‘ Mark Hamill, comes from The Haunting of Hill House‘s Mike Flanagan and is based on the works of Edgar Allen Poe.

The first stills show stars including Hamill, who plays “a character surprisingly at home in the shadows”, as well as Flanagan regulars Carla Gugino, T’Nia Miller, Henry Thomas, Kate Siegel and Rahul Kohli in their roles.

The show is based on Poe’s short story The Fall of the House of Usheramong others, with Flanagan previously describing it as “a modern remix of some of the most iconic works of Edgar Allan Poe”.

“To tell this epic tale of greed, horror, and tragedy, we have assembled the largest ensemble cast in the history of Intrepid Pictures,” he added.

The story sees the ruthless twins, who have built a pharmaceutical empire, faced with past secrets coming to light as their heirs start dying at the hands of a mysterious woman from their youth.

The series also features Carl Lumbly, Michael Trucco, Paola Nuñez, Kyliegh Curran, Samantha Sloyan, Sauriyan Sapkota, Zach Gilford, Willa Fitzgerald, Katie Parker, Malcolm Goodwin, Crystal Balint, Aya Furukawa, Daniel Jun, Matt Biedel, Ruth Codd, Annabeth Gish, Igby Rigney and Robert Longstreet.
