Mark Hamill Revealed His Actual Phone Number in Star Wars: A New Hope

Marvel editor Jordan D White has shared some old quotes from Mark Hamill, revealing that he and Harrison Ford used their real-world phone numbers in a scene from A New Hope, and the two actually had a bit of an argument over it.

Marvel editor Jordan D White shared some old quotes from the Luke Skywalker actor on his Twitter, going in depth about their improvisation on the film.

The excerpt of Hamill’s recollections reads: “In the scene where we’re trying to get out of the garbage masher, I was supposed to say, ‘Threepio, open the…’ and give this long serial number. So I had planned all along to say, ‘2-,’ so my own number would be forever preserved on film.

“However, due to how the scene was blocked, Ford wound up saying the line, and Hamill kept pestering him to read his phone number.

“Finally, Harrison read my number and said, ‘Happy now, you big baby?’ And I laughed because I felt busted ’cause I’d been acting like a two-year-old.”
