Natasha Liu Bordizzo, Sabine Wren in the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars: Ahsoka series, has shared that fans don’t need to have seen Star Wars: Rebels ahead of the watching the new show.
Bordizzo answered the most burning question that fans have about Ahsoka while speaking with Empire Magazine. While it certainly won’t hurt for fans who watch Ahsoka to have seen Rebels, it is not necessary. She says that the live-action series is “a standalone chapter” and won’t confuse the many people who haven’t sat down with the animated series. Read her full quote below:
A lot of people have not seen Rebels… It’s great for them to have seen it, but we’ve got a standalone chapter as it is.
Personally, we strongly recommend watching Star Wars: Rebels so you can catch all the easter eggs expected in the Ahsoka Disney+ series.
