R2-KT is celebrating Star Wars Artists Month (SWAM) this June, and every day they will be highlighting a Star Wars artist, celebrating their work and raising awareness to ensure you only buy authentic art (and not any of the knock-off work available).
Update: There are so many amazingly talented artists that one month is just not enough to celebrate them all, so SWAM is extending into July!!

Here at Jedi News we are joining R2-KT in supporting our Star Wars artists! Here is today’s artist for July 7th, Sasha Galvan.
Get to know Sasha, give him a shout-out, and use the links below to find out where you can help support him!
July 7th — Sasha Galvan
I don’t have a shop or anything just yet (working on an Etsy page but haven’t posted it yet) I just do commissions from this email spoopyghuleh@gmail.com or some people find it easier just to DM from my Instagram page @tall_jawa. If that’s still works I’m happy to gather some pieces.
I’m 20 years old going in to my third year of college focusing on art and design. I’ve been drawing since I was very young. My art work is mostly done I’m charcoal, paint or ink I love focusing on all the tiny details and making things look as realistic as I can. Somehow this spun into a passion for making costume and props which is what I spend a majority of my time doing now.
What drew me to illustrate Star Wars as a subject? I guess that would Be Matt Cohen. We met at SC ComicCon while I was in my Jawa costume and later he saw my work on Instagram and told me about the 501st and the fundraisers done with these designs. and got me to do some designs for North and South Carolina garrisons.
I don’t really have one favorite but I think these represent my work pretty well.
Another artist tomorrow!
