Rian Johnson, director of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, has helmed a new thirty second Pokémon Go commercial for the game’s upcoming Go Fest 2020 event.
Johnson is a Pokémon Go player himself, and has said he plays the game with friends remotely while social distancing under lockdown.
Go Fest 2020 will take place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July and will feature new in-game storylines, more Pokémon and a cool new timed challenge system.
700,000 tickets have already been sold with several weeks still to go, Niantic said last night, nearly double last year’s physical attendance already.
