Earlier in the week, Rian Johnson deleted over 20,000 tweets from Twitter. This was thought to be in response to last weeks’ firing of James Gunn by Disney after some offensive tweets resurfaced from years ago. This was Rian’s explanation on Twitter a couple of days ago….
No official directive at all, and I don’t think I’ve ever tweeted anything that bad. But it’s nine years of stuff written largely off the cuff as ephemera, if trolls scrutinizing it for ammunition is the new normal, this seems like a “why not?” move.
