One year on from the release of The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson has taken to Twitter to thank everyone — even those that were argumentative and opinionated — stating that he’s’ had the experience of a lifetime.

I was fortunate enough to meet Rian straight after the LA premiere of The Last Jedi and found him to be honest and open; we had a brief chat over a drink and I shared with him my opinions of the film (mostly positive) and asked him a question or two. No matter your thoughts on the film you have to respect Rian as a person and the way he conducts himself on social media. Happy ‘peaceful’ holidays all!
