According to a rumor posted on Star Wars Unity, Lucasfilm will be continuing the story we saw play out on screen in director Ron Howard’s Solo: A Star Wars Story via the Disney+ streaming service. The rumor states that the initial plan was to continue the story in the form of a series that focused on crime syndicates such as Crimson Dawn and Black Sun. However, it appears that those plans have been scrapped by Lucasfilm in favor of a straight continuation of the 2018 standalone film with returning main cast members Alden Ehrenreich (did he tease this earlier?), Emilia Clarke, Joonas Suotamo, and Donald Glover.
Speaking of Glover, the rumor suggests this project will open the door for him to return to Star Wars in the rumored Lando Calrissian series being planned for Disney+.
