It’s Friday afternoon (at least here in New York) and The Hollywood Reporter kicks off the start of the weekend with a report that actor Timothy Olyphant will be part of the cast of Season 2 of The Mandalorian.
Timothy Olyphant is the latest actor to be captured by The Mandalorian.
Olyphant, who most recently starred in Netflix’s Santa Clarita Diet, will appear in season two of the Disney+ Star Wars series, multiple sources tell Heat Vision.
It is unknown whether the actor will play a new character or a returning favorite in a new guise.
As pointed out by THR, it is unclear at this time which character Olyphant will be portraying in the Disney+ series or how much of a screen presence his character will have.
Olyphant joins previously reported Katee Sackhoff and several others as currently unconfirmed cast members for Season 2. So once again, we await official confirmation from Lucasfilm on this latest casting news.
Season 2 of The Mandalorian is currently on schedule to debut sometime in October.
