ILM has posted the sad news that Jeff Olson, who worked for nearly 25 years at the company as a model maker, model supervisor, and visual effects producer on many classic projects, from Willow to Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, has passed away, aged 77. Jim made a cameo as a spectator in Jabba’s box during the podracing scenes in The Phantom Menace.
