Star Wars (Volume 2) by Mark Rolfe Available Today

Following on from the first volume last year, Star Wars (Volume 2) by Mark Rolfe is out today via Bandcamp, featuring eight tracks composed by legendary maestro John Williams that have been re-imagined through a lens of love and light.

Embarking once more on this creative journey has been an extraordinary experience, allowing me to delve deeper into the iconic scores and recordings that have ignited my lifelong passion for film music. I spent many long days and weeks taking time and care, meticulously listening to every note of John Williams’ unparalleled masterpieces, with the aim of re-imagining them through a lens of love and light.

In Volume 2, I have gone much deeper into John Williams catalogue taking on some bigger and more complex cues. There is a distinct sense of dynamism within this volume, and at times more vibrant, upbeat elements woven throughout, expanding the scope and depth of this music that is so deeply loved.

I am profoundly grateful to a select group of individuals whose contributions have enriched this album. My heartfelt thanks go to Iain Au-Yong for his outstanding violin on “A Princess Appears,” to Nick Zala Webb (Mojave 3) for his beautiful pedal steel on “Victory Celebration,” and to Dan Tearle for his extraordinary artwork that so beautifully encapsulates the spirit of this project.

I will also be performing selected excerpts from the album at various Star Wars-themed celebrity functions later this spring and 50% of the profits from these events will be donated to the associated charities.

The album will be available on digital platforms, CD, and streaming services. As I turn my attention to Volume 3, I remain deeply grateful for your support in my music. The force will be with you, always.
