Original Boba Fett actor Jeremy Bulloch passed away on December 17th, just hours before the finale of season 2 of The Mandalorian aired along with the annoucement of The Book of Boba Fett series. This episode has now been dedicated to the late, great actor and friend of many.
Bulloch’s dedication appears before the episode’s post-credits scene, where Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen) lay claim to the throne of Jabba the Hutt. The coda announces The Book of Boba Fett, a spin-off from Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau and executive producer Dave Filoni.
We appreciate Disney/Lucasfilm going back and adding this in to the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, and we hope that the new series of The Book of Boba Fett is also dedicated to the star. Read some of the tributes to Jeremy, as well as our own In Memoriam too.
