Today is a landmark day in the history of Lucasfilm and Star Wars. It was two years ago today that Disney announced their intention to purchase Lucasfilm from creator George Lucas. Coupled with that announcement was the revelation that the Star Wars saga would continue with Episode VII already in the process of being written.
It was something that many of us thought we would never see happen, yet fast-forward two years and today we are at the point that Episode VII is about to wrap principal photography at Pinewood Studios, England.
To mark this occasion let us salute The Maker, George Lucas for allowing his legacy to continue, the amazing guys and gals at Lucasfilm who work hard every day to fill our hearts and minds with Star Wars goodness, and to Kathleen Kennedy, J.J, and his team whom lead us into the future of Star Wars.
