
Variety – The Children’s Charity has recently launched their 22nd annual Gold Heart Pin. Every year, the pin features a new and exciting design. For the 2012 Gold Heart campaign, Variety has partnered with 20th Century Fox to feature R2-D2 and C-3PO of Star Wars!
The Gold Heart Fundraising Program is an annual campaign that was started by Variety – The Children’s Charity of Great Britain on Valentine’s Day 1991. It has since spread around the world. The Variety Gold Heart is a heart-shaped pin and a powerful symbol of caring and support for children who have special needs. Now in its 22nd year, the Gold Heart Program has raised millions of dollars around the world.
By supporting Gold Heart Day in British Columbia, you are helping local families as well as organizations that support children. Every Gold Heart you buy helps Variety – The Children’s Charity help kids and their families. Pins are available for a minimum of $3 each and can be purchased in any quantity. They are available at various retail locations including London Drugs and Pharmasave Drugs as well as on the Variety website www.variety.bc.ca.
Variety – The Children’s Charity raises funds and distributes grants to inspire hope, enrich lives and build a better future for children in British Columbia who have special needs.
Since 1965, Variety has raised over $155 to support families and organizations throughout the province.
