The news of the apparent cardiac arrest suffered by Carrie Fisher took many of us by shock. As we all began travelling home for the festive period to be with our own loved ones, we felt the sharp pain at the news for someone whom we have come to love as one of our own.
Her mother Debbie Reynolds has just updated fans to say Carrie remains in a stable condition:
The prayers and good wishes for Carrie continue to flow as we all hope for good news.
Harrison Ford led the sentiments felt by many when he spoke to the Hollywood Reporter:
“I’m shocked and saddened to hear the news about my dear friend, our thoughts are with Carrie, her family and friends.”
