Video Game Media is just one of many sites around the ‘net that has reported that Jim Ward is to leave his position as the President of LucasArts.
News service Kotaku is reporting today that Jim Ward has resigned from his post as president at LucasArts for personal reasons and will leave the Star Wars-game creator in mere two weeks.
Ward, who is in his fourth year as president, saw the demise of many unsuccessful non-Star Wars franchises from the company and the success of dozens of sequels including KOTR II, SW: Battlefront II and Lego Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy.
Taking Ward’s place temporarily will be 25-year LucasFilm employee Howard Roffman. The company is seeking a permanent replacement to publish upcoming games such as Lego Indiana Jones and Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.
