We take a look at the new LEGO Friends Downtown Flower and Design Stores (#41732), part of the reboot of LEGO Friends and Heartlake City introducing new characters and new locations to inspire more creative adventures.
The LEGO Friends Downtown Flower and Design Stores (#41732) is built in three different sections, the flower shop with apartment above, the three-storey design shop and show rooms and Unity Street, the middle section of the set which ties the two together and includes a seating area and water fountain. The three modular sections come apart, in order for you to re-jig them to create a different orientation of the street. The set is designed for people 12+ and at just over two-thousand pieces, was a fairly straightforward build. The set includes nine minidolls (and two pets!), and with over thirty stickers the details are incredible.
The Bloom Flower Store is a two-story building with a bright colour scheme. The vibrant greens and yellows go together so nicely and are accented with blue. The bold colour scheme of the building perfectly complements the façade of the rest of the street. The three-story design and furniture store is built in shades of purple and blue with outlines of black to continue the colourful street. The large windows and triangular patterned wall give the street a very modern touch, which contrasts with the more traditional architecture of the flower shop.
The mini dolls featured in this set include two of the brand new LEGO Friends, Olly and Liann, and also five other mini dolls called Isabella, Riley, Aida, Adi and Fiona. The new features on these new mini dolls are incredible including brand new hair pieces to show volume and some really cool new outfits. The set also includes two micro dolls, Peter and Victoria, which are a newer addition to LEGO.
I think this set would appeal to LEGO fans of all ages because of the different architectural styles, the colour palates and the modern touches, making it a lovely set to display in your home, and good value considering the number of pieces included.
