Ashely Eckstein and her husband, former MLB player David Eckstein, are set to release complementary books on September 8th; Ashley has written “Lucky 22,” a rom-com novel inspired by the couple’s love story, and David has written his memoir titled “Just Enough”.
Ashley, best known for voicing the role of AhsokaTano throughout the “Star Wars” franchise, has written “Lucky 22,” a rom-com novel inspired by the couple’s love story. Ashley retells their early years through the characters Ella Rose Holt and Christian Lucas in her debut romance novel, written with New York Times bestselling author Samantha Chase.
David’s memoir, “Just Enough,” arrives on the 20thanniversary of his 2006 Worlds Series MVP title when he with the St. Louis Cardinals. It is written with fellow former professional baseball player and author Jake Gronsky. With an introduction by actor Sean Astin, David’s book “explores the faith, heart, and perseverance that defined his career, including the personal milestones that grounded him off the field,” according to a press release.
“I am a proud wife and David’s story is one of the greatest underdog stories that has yet to be told…until now,” Ashley said Thursday morning. “‘Just Enough’ is not just a baseball memoir, it’s an everyman tale, and one that will inspire any reader. As for ‘Lucky 22,’ everyone has always told us the way we fell in love is like a Hallmark movie. It was fun to share our story from a different perspective. I guess you could say our books are ‘his and hers.’”
Fans who preorder the books are eligible for exclusive gifts, including signed items at https://bit.ly/3PT3R4F. “Lucky 22” and “Just Enough” are available for pre-order now and will be available wherever books are sold on Sept. 8.
Both books are being released by Blue Box Press.
