Issue 145 is available to order worldwide as part of a subscription or as a single issue at blocksmag.com and will be in UK stores from November 6.

Blocks subscriptions are great value! Every month you get a new 116-page magazine at a much better price than buying a single issue. If you subscribe in print before November 4, you’ll get a FREE LEGO polybag set, 2026 Blocks brick and Christmas cards.

With an incredible 12,060 elements, 21065 Sagrada Família is the largest LEGO set of all time – so Blocks magazine is looking at the builds have tested the boundaries of what the System can do. It’s amazing to see how the LEGO Group keeps pushing the sizes bigger and bigger.

Blocks is looking ahead to 2027 this month; Senior Model Designer Bjarke Lykke Madsen reveals how he crafted 67006 The Marvel Skyline, a new style of set for the comic book theme. Senior Graphic Designer Mark Tranter shares insights into making micro webbing for a tiny Spider-Man and using the Kirby Krackle to depict Galactus.

In another exclusive interview, Brick Experience Manager Maxx Davidson discusses the upcoming theme park exclusive build, 50090 LEGOLAND Park Adventure. It features an upscaled minifigure, a coaster and a micro scale Miniland – so it took some thinking on his part to blend these different approached into a cohesive model.

Besides designing sets, the professionals have been getting into the festive spirit. LEGO House has a special short-term exhibition in the Masterpiece Gallery titled Home for the Holidays. Each model tells a story in a unique way and talented builders like Dídac Perez Soriano, Isaac Snyder, Owen Davis, David Guedes, Isabelle van Vleuten and Lee Magpili share the inspirations behind their holly jolly creations.

Some talented fans see their builds become official LEGO sets through BrickLink Designer Program – Marcos Garavelli, Maria Kalaoglou and Taylor Anderson recall how they crafted their models, polished them up, shared them with the world and refined them for release as branded boxes. It is illustrated with Marcos’ development images for 910034 Brick Cross, all the way from a rough sketch to the final render.

If you want to kick start your creative building, then try one of this month’s Quick Builds – they are just 12 steps each, so you can put together a modern take on 6607 Service Truck, a tiny version of 76355 Batman Returns Batmobile or a not-so-super 75457 Executor Super Star Destroyer.

There is plenty more besides within the 116-page magazine, including reviews of Christmas sets like 11387 Holiday House, an amazing array of cyberpunk cars, a look back at Rock Raiders, top 10 light brick uses and much more.
