Harper’s Bazaar and Lucasfilm have been working on a Star Wars inspired, illustrated fashion editorial for Harper’s Bazaar US’ 150th anniversary issue. The issue is available from today in the US. The editorial includes models Gigi and Bella Hadid, Taylor Hill, Kendall Jenner and Kaia Gerber.
The collaboration celebrates the ongoing inspiration of Star Wars in fashion and design, in the run-up to the launch of Star Wars: The Last Jedi on 14th December. Bella Hadid is wearing a design from the rag & bone x Star Wars collection, which is also launching today and you read more about that here.
Lucasfilm identified iconic backgrounds from the original Star Wars trilogy. And Harper’s Bazaar provided looks and model shots which were then illustrated into those existing backgrounds. The illustrations were done by Brian Rood, whose past work includes; “Star Wars: The Prequel Trilogy Stories” and “Journey to Star Wars: The Last Jedi: The Power of the Force”.
