Clone Wars Adventures: Volume 1
It is early days for the Clone Wars and many Jedi have been sent off to aid the Grand Republic Army in their struggle against the Separatist Droid Army. Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan, Anakin Skywalker, have been sent to the night world of Nivek to locate and destroy a Separatist droid base, but first they must fight their way through the aboriginal Shadowmen….in the dark!
Then Master Mace Windu and Saesee Tiin must fight a new droid threat! To defeat the new B2 Battle Droids and others they must work together to accomplish victory! And Jedi Master Kit Fisto visits an under-water world to search for a hidden Separatist base!
The Review
Due to these comics being published back in 2004 all the drawings are real simple compared to the illustrations today. Throughout ‘Clone Wars Adventures’ we get a good insight into some new and different missions with Jedi like Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace Windu and many more! In terms of physical appearance and feels of the book it’s quite a small comic book like the new Clone Wars Adventures comics, and the pages have a smooth and lightly glossed feel to them.
In this volume of CWA we get a look into the good times and missions that Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi had and how Master Mace Windu and Master Saessee Tiin make a team with some good Jedi humour thrown in. But in the last part of volume 1 we have a story on Kit Fisto which isn’t so un-explored. We all know the Mon Calamari, we all know Fisto can swim under water and we’ve all seen the scuba Clones although it’s still a good, original story line.
