First, three young Padawans must fend for themselves as the separatist battle force is on its way. How will these three Padawans fight their way out with only a herd of banthas, some old farm instruments and a tractor? Will they make it to the evacuation ship or taken prisoners by the battle droids? Find out in “Graduation Day”
Then, Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker are trapped in Death Canyon. To make issues worse they are being hunted by blood thirsty bounty hunters. But Anakin’s skills from when he was a slave are put to use as he manages to make a transport. But the bounty hunters have set traps all around the canyon. Will they make it out or will they get annihilated? Find out in “Thunder Road”
After, Jedi knight Anise I’Zak has received a canister and a top secret mission. She must venture to the East of the battle field and deliver the canister to a Clone Commander. But things get complicated when someone leaks information about where the young Jedi will be. Will she survive an ambush or will she fail her mission? Find out in “Chain of Command”
Finally, post 473 has been assigned to blow the supports linking a bridge which decides the droid forces destiny, victory or defeat. But as post 473 aligns the cross hairs a strange creature starts to hassle the Trooper and decides to steal the ammunition to his rocket launcher. The lone Trooper must venture through the woods and down a cave to retrieve the stolen munitions. But time is nearing and things start to get complicated. Will he accomplish his mission or will the battle forces cross the bridge? Find out in “Waiting”
It’s the last volume and review for Star Wars Clone Wars Adventures series and we’ve had some weird, wacky and wonderful stories reflecting the beautiful imagination of the Star Wars Universe. The first story sees some great use of onomatopoeia’s but is drawn in a very childish manner, although this is a kid’s series it makes the story look like every other kid’s comic which isn’t the Star Wars way!
Although the action and humour in the second story makes up! But in the third story we see appearances from Ki-Adi-Mundi and Aayla Secura working together in the background which hasn’t been seen in the films before. There’s also plenty of action and humour which makes a great read, unfortunate that they couldn’t have kept it this way for all of the series.
Overall this has been a very interesting series with loads of unseen vehicles, weapons and species, great stuff for the Expanded Universe. This series has also perfectly showed how Star Wars can adapt and help show off the amazing imagination of people’s minds. Personally I think this comic series would make a cracking present for Christmas for the kids!
