The time is shortly after Episode III where Order 66 has taken place and the Republic has not long fallen, but through all this is the birth of the Empire. Many of the local systems in the Galaxy have been taken over by the Empire and the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader, has issued a man hunt for any remaining Jedi.
Jedi Master K’Kruhk was repairing his shuttle at the Padawan training centre on Bogden three when his squad of Clone Troopers decided to turn on him. His precise Jedi training the Clones were no match for him. He managed to escape with a handful of Younglings and a damaged ship.
But on the voyage for looking for a safe haven they were attacked by pirates. Letting K’Kruhk’s anger get the best of him he striked them down in front of the younglings in an un-professional way. Now free from the pirate’s custody their voyage continues and finally they find a suitable destination…
The Review
The story seems to take off from where Darth Vader and the Ghost Prison left off with regards to the damage caused on Coruscant. In this Volume there seems to be this over voice or narrator that every once in a while comes in and has a couple of boxes of words. This can sometimes actually make you feel differently for the characters e.g. more sorry or make you read the whole comic in a different way.
A lot of interesting angle shots are used when it comes to facial portraits which have big effects on characters fight between who has the most authority which makes it a more fun read when it comes to a militia officer and a imperial officer who both keep fighting over authority. Some of the attention to detail, not to drawing detail but to real life situation details like when Master K’Kruhk and the padawans make it to the refugee camp and they are told rules, times and regulations which is incredibly realistic.
Nearing the end, the comic sheds a more positive light on the Imperials that not all of their doings and intentions are bad. And as always in any range of Star Wars comics we see a great range of weaponry, transport Species, scenery and characters. Overall this Volume has a great storyline with realistic events and interesting turnouts!
