Agent of the Empire: Hard Targets
For the agents of Imperial Intelligence , information gathering and assessment is just a part of the job. Their ongoing mission is to further the Emperor’s control in all aspects of galactic policy and politics, by whatever means necessary—overt, covert, or duplicitous.
Agent of the Empire Jahan Cross is the very best of Imperial Intelligence—a man willing and able to get any job done, no matter what it takes…and no matter what the cost to his own conscience. Thus far.
Quickly, quietly, and efficiently is how Cross’s missions are supposed to play out. But sometimes discretion is impossible…
The Review
The opening scene is an intense fight between Jahan and the all feared bounty hunter Boba Fett, so we’re already getting plenty of action within the first few pages! In-between these extraordinary scenes there are some great landscape shots of Alderaan, like the Grand Reception Room of the Royal Palace. We also get a view of other Count Dookus, like Count Adan Dooku and not just the well-known one from the prequels. It’s nice not to see a story from the Imperial side through Darth Vader’s perspective for once and to view it through the eyes of a more un-explored side, that being through the Imperial Intelligence agency. Talking about Vader, we get a brief insight into how tyrannical the Sith lord’s orders were for people to forcefully join the Empire.
Getting on the more technology side of things we get visuals on some interesting ships, barges and escape vehicle like a modified Trade Federation fighter sub dating back from the Clone Wars. We also get an insight into a complex prison, also built in the clone wars era, capable of holding Jedi if necessary. But overall this comic can really show how brutal politics can be in the Star Wars universe.
