Battles and Events takes a look at one of the first and most familiar fights we ever saw in Star Wars, the daring rescue of Princess Leia, a spur of the moment plan which swiftly turned around the fate of the Rebellion. Droids and Machines focuses on the Corporate Alliance Tank Droid, seen powering through the waters of Kashyyyk lagoons in Revenge of the Sith and the Clone Wars. Whorm Loathsom is the first character in Humans and Aliens, yet another alien with a name that perfectly describes his nature. A Separatist general, we were first introduced to him on Christophsis during the Star Wars: The Clone Wars movie.We also look at the beautiful but ill-fated twi-lek dancer Oola and her demise in the palace of Jabba the Hutt. Aurra Sing – a character barely seen in The Phantom Menace but who’s influence is felt far beyond in the EU/Legends takes gets the Fact Files treatment, looking at her history as a padawan turned bad.
Planets and Locations looks at the Nightsisters fortress on Dathomir, a scene of dark magics. Weapons and Technology zooms in on the various types of electrobinoculars used throughout the series, from Luke’s model through those used on Hoth during the Battle of Hoth to Darth Maul’s Republic era pair and even the battle droid models. We end the issue staying with battle droids as Starships and Vehicles looks at STAPS (Single Trooper Aerial Platforms) and their lethal use during the occupation of Naboo.
