The official site at StarWars.com has revealed a new Marvel Star Wars comic dreamed up by Ahsoka creator Dave Filoni, Lucasfilm’s President and Chief Creative Officer, telling the story of how Ezra Bridger escaped the Empire’s greatest strategist, Thrawn.
We still remember the emotional reunion of Hera Syndulla and Ezra Bridger in Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 1.
Hera could barely believe her eyes as the trooper removed his helmet just after arriving on Home One in a stolen ETA-Class shuttle disguised as one of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s terrifying Night Troopers. With a simple greeting — “Hi Hera, I’m home.” — Ezra Bridger had finally returned from a galaxy far, far away.
Now, Marvel Comics and Ahsoka’s creator will illuminate the untold story of Ezra’s journey in a new miniseries arriving next year and tying into the Disney+ live-action series. The five-issue mini-series has a story by Lucasfilm’s President and Chief Creative Officer Dave Filoni, which has been written by Rodney Barnes. With a cover by Phil Noto and interior art from Andrea Di Vito, the comic follows an unseen adventure for fan-favorite hero Ezra Bridger (Eman Esfandi) as he evades Grand Admiral Thrawn (Lars Mikkelsen) during his covert escape from Peridea at the end of Season 1.
Read the official synopsis below and then get your pull list ready for the release of issue #1 at your local comic book shop on January 20, 2027, coinciding with the premiere of Ahsoka Season 2!
