Cassaday’s covers feature the infamous lineup of bounty hunters first seen being recruited by Darth Vader to track down Han Solo in The Empire Strikes Back. In addition to Boba Fett, fans can check out Dengar, IG-88, Bossk, 4-LOM, and Zuckuss as they ready themselves for a second chance now that Boba has let his prize slip away. And they won’t be the only ones! The first crossover of the largely-unexplored post-Empire Strikes Back era, WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS will tie into all your favorite ongoing Star Wars titles bringing Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Doctor Aphra, and more on a collision course for Han Solo that will shake the galaxy to its core!
“WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS is a story about Boba Fett doing his thing, but it builds into something much bigger, and that’s what the best comic crossovers and big stories do. They tell a great story in and of themselves, but they’re also the start of something, and they open a lot of new doors. And this story will absolutely do that,” Soule told StarWars.com.
Check out John Cassaday’s covers now and be there on May 5 when WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS kicks off in a special prelude issue: STAR WARS: WAR OF THE BOUNTY HUNTERS ALPHA #1.
