The review;

I absolutely love the cover of this book. The silhouette style art of Vader with white accents are made pop off the page with the use of the bright yellow background. This book makes a statement on the shelf as you look at it. I also like the fact that it is a hardback. So many books of this genre are paperback, so that helps make it stand out.

Over the years there have been many Star Wars related quiz books hit the shelves of local bookstores. But I sense something a little different about this one. Yes, it is right up to date, except for the recent Ahsoka TV series on Disney+.

The book is split into 2 sections. Section 1 is titled The Saga. This section concentrates on all the movies, animated and live action TV series. With section 2 entitled The Galaxy which delves into area specific general knowledge of the wider Star Wars galaxy. There are over 1000 questions with 3 difficulty levels: Youngling, Padawan and Jedi Master. Obviously, this reflects the level of the questions being asked.

There are some very simple questions that someone relatively new to Star Wars will be able to answer. But when you get to the Jedi Master questions, there are some absolute doozies in there! I am deemed by my family and friends to have an extensive knowledge of Star Wars, but I will admit to struggling to answer or didn’t answer, as the case may be! And I think this is the beauty of the book. There is something in there to test the knowledge of any Star Wars fan.

As usual with any quiz book, the answers are in the back of the book. But please, do not turn to the Dark Side and memorise the answers!

Paddy Kempshall is the man who was tasked with creating the questions. Paddy is a friend of Jedi News through his involvement with the UK Garrison. A long standing and highly regarded within its ranks. If you get chance to listen to Episode 118 of our Radio 1138 podcast, you will be able to hear Paddy talk about his love for the UK Garrison, but what it took for him to create this wonderful book.

For me, this is the essential stocking filler for Christmas 2023. Sadly, this book is only available in the UK as I type. So, for any overseas fans who want to grab a copy, get in touch with your friends in the UK for their assistance.
