We were able to get our hands on a finished boxed prototype of the Build Your Own Power FX Lightsabre earlier today. Whilst we weren’t able to fire it up we did get a good look at the complete package contents and what this beauty can do. This is one of the last Star Wars Master Replica products to come out and as reported yesterday will be available in the UK at Toys R Us stores exclusively (in the US it’s available exclusively at Radio Shack stores). The product is expected to ship later this year in December.
The package contains a realistic lightsaber blade which is able to glow bright red, blue or green (changes colour at the flick of a switch) and authentic sound effects taken directly from the films. In addition to this it also includes over 20 other parts including 3 pommels, 3 handles, 3 centre bands and 3 emitters.
