A great reason, like there aren’t enough already, to attend the National Space Centre this weekend is to see the Palitoy Archive 2007.
The Palitoy Archive was first shown at Star Wars Celebration Europe and was a huge success. People only complained that it was tucked away, hard to find and should really have been an exhibit on the main exhibition floor.
This weekend’s outing is on a slightly smaller scale but still worth seeing. The Palitoy Archive was put together by Dave Tree, long time friend and huge Star Wars fan. It took Dave many months to bring everything together and he personally put up most of the money to bring the Archive to fruition; huge credit to Dave for doing this.
The Palitoy Archive is a journey through the entire Palitoy product range. Not just carded figures but everything they had on offer including carded figures, Play Doh, 12-inch figures, die-cast, toy weapons, several original shop displays and some of the original adverts too. It also provides a retrospective insight into the company history, the factory in Leicester and packaging variations.
Jedi News was happy to sponsor and promote the Palitoy Archive at Celebration Europe and we’ll continue to sing its praises as it’s shown across the country. We took several pictures of the archive in its glory at Celebration Europe and these can be seen here.
