According to a report posted on The Sun, British comedian Adrian “Ade” Edmondson will be joining the cast of director Rian Johnson’s Episode VIII in a yet-to-be-announced role.
I’ve learned that British comedian ADE EDMONDSON — who played Eddie in Nineties sitcom Bottom alongside the late RIK MAYALL — has bagged a part in the upcoming Star Wars: Episode VIII after impressing director RIAN JOHNSON and executive producer JJ ABRAMS.
The actor, who also starred in Eighties comedy The Young Ones, is known for his slapstick humour so the Hollywood blockbuster could not be further from his comfort zone.
While his character is being kept under wraps, movie insiders are already calling it one of the most unlikely castings in Star Wars history.
Once again, you know the deal when it comes to any and all Star Wars casting rumors…
